In our everyday life we treat light as something obvious, something that just exists. We start to appreciate its enormous significance when we face its shortage. As the leader in the international lighting market Philips Lighting knows much more about light and its great potential.
Our Department in Pabianice is a part of the international concern and it takes care of manufacturing and delivering traditional bulbs as well as modern energy-efficient lighting (halogens, ECO30, compact fluorescent lamps) and finally automotive lighting.
At present we employ about 1700 employees in: three manufacturing plants (automotive lighting, bulbs of normal usage, halogen and energy-efficient bulbs), two trading organizations selling automotive lighting under Philips and NARVA Brand in Central and East Europe and in the distribution centre. We produce one billion sources of light (bulbs, fluorescent lamps) which we deliver to 50 markets all over the world.
According to the fact that Philips pays great concern to the environment and undertakes actions to save our planet, within the Green Switch Program, it works on modern lighting solutions replacing technologically antiquated and energy-intensive products with innovative and energy -saving ones. Only for this aim for the previous 5 years in Pabianice we spent over 10 million Euro.
Our passion is ‘Improving the quality of life by introducing new, important technologies’. This was the aim of the Philips Company after it was established in 1891 and it has been continually valid. We reach this aim bearing in mind the philosophy of our company: ‘Sense and Simplicity’. In other words we make even the most advanced technologies available for its users. In Philips Lighting in Pabianice we believe that light is something more, it has the potential, it gives uncountable possibilities and for 90 years it has been inspiring us to develop the quality of human life.
