Onet.pl is Poland's biggest online portal hosting 200 detailed thematic services. It is also Poland's most frequently visited portal and one of Europe's biggest portals in terms of the total number of page views. In April 2008 Onet.pl was visited by 9.8 million Polish net users, which makes it Poland's most popular online portal, with almost 4 billions of page views a month. Onet.pl ranks first in terms of the number of users, total number of the pages visited and total time spent online. It is visited by 1.6 million more visitors than Wirtualna Polska, 2.3 million more visitors than Interia, 2.8 million more visitors than o2.pl and 3.1 million more visitors than Gazeta.pl. (Megapanel PBI/Gemius, January 2008). An impressively wide range of content available on Onet.pl and by extension increasing popularity and growing numbers of users let perceive the role of Onet.pl as a multimedium. The portal hosts numerous multimedia materials, e.g. video clips, selected TV series and programmes by TVN, coverage of all the Champions League matches. In June 2007 the portal launched Onet.tv - a multimedia platform with numerous thematic channels and thousands of video clips. Rich programme offer, customisable play-lists and access to all the materials "on demand" are the hallmarks of Onet.tv. The service itself is built upon thematic channels, e.g. News, Music, Film, Sport. The programme offer embraces practically the whole thematic panoply known from Onet.pl, e.g. the latest in politics and economy, sporting events, highlights of football matches, exotic journeys, language learning, cinema premieres and reviews, music and animated video clips or fashion trends. The content comprises both Onet.pl's own and external productions.
